Unionist Radibe calls for Nkate's head

The President of the Botswana Teachers' Union was forced into early retirement for being opposed to nepotism, corruption and maladministration at the Ministry of Education (MoE), Japhta Radibe said at a press conference at BTU headquarters in Mogoditshane the unionist called to mark the end of his teaching career Wednesday.

Radibe used the occasion to call for the removal of Jacob Nkate as Minister of Education "before he can turn the system on its head."

He said teachers had also lost confidence in the Director of Teaching Service Management, hence Opelo Makhandlela should resign.
