UB Student Falls Off School Flat

A University of Botswana student is currently fighting for her life at Princess Marina Hospital (PMH) after she allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping from the school’s flat on Friday morning.

The learner is hospitalised and nursing fractures she sustained from the injuries. It is alleged that frustrations from her love life led to the suicide attempt, but Central Police station commander, Superintendent Vincent Pitseetsile dismissed talks of attempted suicide.

He said that their investigations are ongoing to establish what led to the young woman falling off from the flat. He stated that they were called to the scene around 5am in the morning on Friday, rushed to scene and took her to the hospital where she is currently hospitalised.“We do not know what transpired, but we had reports that she fell from the flat.
