University of Botswana (UB) lecturer, Dr Raphael Dingalo has announced that he wants to oust Gaborone Central MP Dumelang Saleshando of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) or Shoshong legislator Duke Lefhoko from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

The UB don said he is still to decide which of the two constituencies to contest though he is certain he will enter the fray on a BDP ticket. Dingalo pointed out that he is still studying the two constituencies ahead of the BDP's primary elections. He dismissed reports that he is likely to lose at the primaries in Gaborone Central if former BDP Youth Wing president Gomolemo Motswaledi is in the mix.

"I am not interested in whom I will be facing, but once I have made a decision, I will be ready for whoever puts his name forward," he said. He warned that he was not entering the contest to lose. He asserted that in 2004 general elections, it was BDP members who sent Saleshando to Parliament because of factional divisions in the party.
