Two expelled at UB

The vice president of the University of Botswana (UB) students representative council (SRC) and the minister for bar and canteen have been expelled from the institution for fuelling the class boycotts that led to the closure of the institution.

According to the acting director of public affairs, Tefo Mangope the two students were expelled, while the rest of the SRC, including the president, were suspended for two weeks pending disciplinary action.

"I cannot divulge the reasons of those students because it will be in bad taste and we do not know when or how this thing is going to end," Mangope said.
