Tsvangirai leaves Gaborone after meeting Khama

Press Secretary to the President Sipho Madisa said that Morgan Tsvangirai was in Botswana and left yesterday after meeting Khama.

He said that he was meeting Khama to discuss bilateral and regional issues. The two leaders talked about the stalemate on the appointments of Governor of Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and Attorney General.

Madisa said that Khama and Tsvangirai discussed the challenges and achievements of Zimbabwe in the implementation of the Global Partnership Agreement (GPA) signed between Mugabe and Tsvangirai in September last year. The agreement was meant to cool off tensions between political parties in the country after controversial presidential elections.
