Top lawyer joins DIS 'think-tank'

Perhaps to allay fears of possible abuse of power and trumping on people's civil liberties, the Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) has recruited one of the country's top legal brains to help steer the intelligence arm of government.

Mmegi has been reliably informed that one of the country's top lawyers (name withheld) and a former deputy director in one of the country's parastatal companies, has joined the DIS think-tank.

But speaking in an interview with Mmegi in Gaborone yesterday, DIS director Lt Col Isaac Kgosi would not confirm the report, saying:
