Thugs terrorise villagers

FRANCISTOWN: Tshesebe police acting station commander Assistant Superintendent, Ontiretse Ditshweu has appealed to villagers along the Botswana-Zimbabwe border to strengthen their home security.

This follows a series of break-ins and robberies that hit some of the villages early this week. Although he could not immediately provide supporting statistics, Ditshweu described the reported cases at Tshesebe, Ramokgwebana and Moroka villages as worrisome. In the wake of such cases, there is need for strengthened security, he said.

It is evident that thugs easily break into houses that do not have burglar bars although in some instances they cut the burglar bars.
