Three Arrested In G-West Fire

Three men, a 55-year-old Briton and two Batswana aged 27, will appear in court in connection with the fire that gutted a warehouse in Gaborone West Industrial Site in March this year. Property valued at P476 million was destroyed.

Police Public Relations Officer, Senior Superintendent Christopher Mbulawa, said that they would be submitting their docket to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to decide whether there is enough evidence to try the three men who are not in custody.

Arson carries a life sentence.
Mbulawa said that though they have not found any lead into fires that in the past two years, destroyed warehouses of CA Sales and Distribution and Jamal Trading, among others, they are ready to open a case if anybody comes forward with concrete evidence.
