Terror crocs to be repatriated

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Arrangements are ongoing to repatriate crocodiles that were driven away in the Limpopo River to South Africa during recent floods.The Commander of Semolale Police Station, Superintendent Gaodirelwe Motlhagodi, says the crocodiles, which have overpopulated Africa's second largest river, also pose a threat to the people of Motlhabaneng.  "Arrangements are ongoing to take them back to South Africa," Superintendent Motlhagodi said. "They pose a serious threat in that since they were domesticated and are used to being fed regularly.  Information reaching Mmegi is that the crocodiles that recently devoured livestock belonging to Motlhabaneng farmers were from a private animal farm in South Africa. "Out of their cages, they devour anything in sight," Superintendent Motlhagodi added. "As we speak, the owners of the South African farm are on site to catch them and take them back and Motlhabaneng will be safe again."
