Teen dies in fatal accident on Christmas day

Tonota police are investigating a fatal road accident in which a 19 year old boy was hit by a car when attempting to cross the road on Christmas day.

The fatal accident occurred near Tlholotsane River in Tonota in the early morning hours at around 4:30 am. Confirming to be investigating the case, Tonota police station commander, Superintendent Oteng Ngada said they do not know what really transpired, but the deceased was hit by a Toyota D4D driven by a 31-year-old Zimbabwean national.

He explained that the the driver revealed that he was on his way to Zimbabwe from South Africa.
