TEC looks to Germany for quality education

The Tertiary Education Council (TEC) is adopting the collaborative university model copied from Germany in efforts to ensure international tertiary education standards.

This was revealed yesterday at a media briefing in Gaborone, which was a build up to the 3rd annual Tertiary Education Fair.
The executive secretary at TEC, Dr Patrick Molotsi said this model strives to reduce the costs of tertiary education through having institutions cover learners' tuition fees.

"The model works in such a way that people get jobs after completing form five examinations and the employer will then fund their tertiary education," he said.
