FRANCISTOWN: Minister of Education and Skills Development (MoESD), Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi and teachers crossed swords at the annual Botswana Sector of Educators Trade Union (BOSETU) conference held here on Friday.

Venson-Moitoi had to ignore heckles and boos from the teachers as she was delivering her speech at the conference whose theme was, "Meaningful social dialogue: A remedy to challenges in the education sector."

In the speech that was in danger of being drowned by the hostile murmurs from the teachers, the minister acknowledged that social dialogue was the only way to go in order to improve the ailing relations between her ministry and teachers in a bid to resuscitate the country's education.
