TCE students on hunger strike over 'bad' bread

TONOTA: Hundreds of Tonota College of Education (TCE) students launched a hunger strike on Tuesday decrying the quality of bread supplied by a local bakery.

According to the students, they have been eating the poorly baked bread since Monday last week, when a Shashe-based bakery, Leomboko was engaged as the college's new supplier.

They said all along they have been eating the bread that was supplied by a bakery in Selebi-Phikwe whose contract with the college was terminated under mysterious circumstances.
