Students Donate To Ailing Teacher

Two got the donation from the students who are back home on vacation. She said that students raised the funds after reading online media reports about her. One of the student representatives, Keletso Ramotshabi implored the business community and other leaders to come to the aid of those in need. "This is the little we could afford. We might be far but our hearts are still here at home," he said. He suggested that other students abroad can make similar donations.
Ramotshabi said that on a yearly basis, they make contributions to help people when they are back home on vacation. They decide on the projects that they make donations to. The last donations went to SOS two years ago. Ramaabya, who is on peritoneal dialysis, said that a catheter that has been inserted in her is due for replacement. The catheter should be checked every three months but this has not been done. However, she said that to get any assistance from her South African doctors, she would have to pay the outstanding balance of her medical bills.
