Stigma Still Big Headache In Botswana

Many people with HIV/AIDS have died because of the stigma rather than the disease itself, experts have asserted.

The main question is that after all the education and the messages relayed to Batswana, how far has the country come in fighting stigma against people living with HIV/AIDS and those suspected to be living with the virus?

Interviews with Monitor revealed that stigma is a big problem in the country. Some say it has changed pattern but it is still happening.
