Special Constables are frustrated and feel undervalued following the new recruitment system that force them to apply in order to be enrolled for training.

It is alleged that in-service Special Constables are no longer selected automatically for enrolment at the Botswana Police College as they are now expected to apply and show interest, something they are not happy with. 

For years they have been praised for their hard work and commitment towards work, but The Monitor is informed that the officers are frustrated with the new system.
