Investigating the case, Dibete Police Station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said the incident occurred at around 3am when the victim had just arrived home from the bar. Ranku stated that the victim arrived home at around 2am and went to the bed with the window open waiting for her other family members who had stayed behind to return.
“She had left the window open so that they could wake her up through the same window so that she can open the doors to the house for them but the intruder used the same window to gain entrance.
