'Shame on offenders' - Ombudsman

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Office of the Ombudsman may in future resort to naming and shaming offenders who fail to comply with its recommendations, it emerged at a consultative breakfast meeting in Selebi-Phikwe on Monday.

Ronald Phetlhe, from the Selebi-Phikwe West constituency office had asked if the government watchdog was not considering exposing to the public some of the issues that it investigates.

Public relations officer at the Ombudsman's office, Greg Kelebonye, says they are currently working on modalities of exposing those who do not want to cooperate with their office.
