Serema to be fired?

Kanye: With victory for the Kedikilwe/Kwelagobe faction there is looming fear that the incoming Central Committee might fire the party's executive secretary, Dr Comma Serema and some Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) employees perceived to be aligned to the outgoing Central Committee largely dominated by the Nkate/Merafhe faction.

Over the weekend Daniel Kwelagobe and those aligned to his faction were elected into the BDP's leadership. Kwelagobe beat Tebelelo Seretse to reclaim his place at the BDP high table as party chair.

Prior to the BDP congress campaigns put the party's secretariat in the spotlight with Serema being accused of sympathising with the Nkate/Merafhe faction.
