PALAPYE: Bangwato regent, Kgosi Sediegeng Kgamane has vehemently denied press reports that he snubbed the Bakaa during the recent installation of their head man of arbitration, Kgosi Mosinyi Mosinyi.

Kgamane told Mmegi that he does not understand why there is a hullabaloo about his absence during the installation.
"This matter mainly concerned the Bakaa of Shoshong and even if I did not personally attend, it was not like I was snubbing the Bakaa. I sent Kgosi Phokontsi Seeletso to represent me there and my wife was also present," he said. He explained that he had other engagements that kept him away from the ceremony.

Kgamane said that he gave Mosinyi gifts during the installation which is a clear indication that he does not hold any grudges against him and the Bakaa. Kgamane declined to comment on recent reports of a tussle over chieftainship in the village saying that he is yet to meet a delegation from Shoshong over the matter.
