Robbery suspect dies in exchange of fire with law enforcement officers

A 43-year-old robbery suspect was fatally shot in an exchange of fire with law enforcement officers early this morning (10/10/2022) in Mochudi.

The deceased and three other suspects allegedly attacked security guards before blasting an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at U-Save Complex in Mochudi. During the shoot-out, one of the suspects was critically injured, and he is admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, another suspect, a 37-year old Motswana Citizen Male was arrested at Lentsweletau whilst the fourth suspect is still at large.

Two loaded firearms, a pick-axe, were recovered at the scene. A motor vehicle suspected to have been used in the commission of the crime has been impounded pending further investigations.
