Rasesa to host SADC Standby Force depot

With conflict rising within the region, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) has resolved to support the long impending establishment of a Regional Standby Force depot that will be based in Botswana.

Acting President Slumber Tsogwane revealed this at a press conference shortly after he landed from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) yesterday.

“One of the important issues was to encourage the formation of an independent SADC Regional Standby Force and that it shall be set up in Botswana. It is a regional depot and they have since identified a piece of land in Rasesa for the purpose.
