Rapist of stepdaughters is HIV positive

FRANCISTOWN: The prosecution is faced with the challenge of proving that a man recently convicted of raping his two underage stepdaughters for five years knew that he was HIV positive all along when he forced himself upon them.

This emerged when *Aron Molemo(56) appeared for sentencing before Senior Magistrate Kgololesego Segabo here this week after being convicted of raping his two stepdaughters since they were aged 10 and 11. The prosecution brought a doctor's report showing that Molemo is HIV positive after which the prosecutor, Atinah Mandingo, said they needed time to prove that Molemo had known of his status all along as he routinely raped the girls he legitimated by giving them his family name after he and their mother married. "We cannot commit ourselves to say we can prove that now," Madingo said. "We need some time, and we will advise the court on the next mention on this matter."
