FRANCISTOWN: The national organiser of the Manual Workers Union, Johnson Motshwarakgole, has said that former Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Secretary General Kentse Rammidi resigned because of the suspended public service strike.

Motshwarakgole said that the strike has changed the fabric of national politics and has revealed the darker side of the ruling BDP, leading to anarchy in the party and the resignation of Rammidi.

"Ha o bona secretary general hela e tlogela tiro, go raya gore sengwe se senyegile, e le rona ha re gatang teng," he remarked, meaning that Rammidi's resignation proved something was wrong in the BDP, as revealed by the strike.
