Raditanka dismisses 'Nkate bias'

SEROWE: A councillor who preferred anonymity told Mmegi yesterday that the Central District Council (CDC) chambers became a busy place last week for BDP campaigns.

"We were told that we should throw our weight behind Nkate and not Motswaledi when we vote in a few weeks' time at a congress billed for Molepolole," he further told Mmegi.
Contacted for comment yesterday, Lesego Raditanka, who is CDC chairperson dismissed accusations levelled against him as unfounded and misleading.

"Nothing like that has ever happened here. If at all there was open campaigning from this office, then it happened whilst I was away," said Raditanka adding that he was a responsible leader who would never de-campaign a fellow BDP member.
Further, he said: "It's not true that I was caught circulating any note ordering some councillors to vote for Nkate and not Motswaledi during the last full council meeting".
"Each of the aspirants who attended the meeting was accorded an opportunity to state his case when we wrapped up our day's business.
