Primaries report 'riddled with lies' - Magama

Former Botswana National Front secretary general, Akanyang Magama, in a replying affidavit filed last week following a pre trial conference, contends that the report by Peter Phiri, who reported to the BNF about the primary elections at Gaborone South, is littered with 'a series of lies and fabrications'.

Magama says that Phiri was Sebego's campaign manager and his report was crafted in such a way that it would ensure that the elections are nullified.
"He is on record saying that he will write the report in such a way that it will necessitate a re-run of the elections," says Magama.

Magama charges that the decision to order a rerun was based on what Sebego and his campaign manager had put on the table, arguing that no effort was made to solicit views from the other presiding officers.
