Precious Rainfall Spoils BMD Rally

The highly anticipated Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) rally that was held in Lobatse on Saturday at Maipei grounds was spoilt by rainfall, which poured down heavily in the afternoon.

The hailstorm started before any of the party leadership, who were on the line-up, could address the few members who attended the rally while others had not even arrived.

Those who were scheduled to speak included party president Sidney Pilane, vice president Dr Tlamelo Mmatli, secretary general Gilbert Mangole and Nehemiah Modubule. The party president Pilane and secretary general had not yet arrived when it started to rain heavily.
