Poor planning deprives jwaneng of trade investment and jobs - report

Poor planning of physical infrastructure has been identified as a major deterrence of investors in Jwaneng.

A draft report of the Jwaneng Development Plan (2011-2028) observes that with the exception of the Central Business District (CBD), the rest of the town suffers from lack of trade investment and jobs.

The report says the town mainly enjoys residential development with no economic activity in sight. The document says that the urban structure of Jwaneng is such that the individual units which make up the town are developed as independent self-contained entities.
