Policeman faces bribery charge

A police officer in Francistown has been dragged to court for allegedly soliciting and receiving a bribe from a taxi driver.

The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) on Monday dragged 27-year-old Keneilwe Boikhutso before the Francistown Magistrate's court charged with official corruption.

Boikhutso appeared before Principal Magistrate Peggy Madandume yesterday for contravening Section 99 (a) of the Penal Code of Botswana.
