Police seize bogus goods in Lusaka

The Zambia Police Service has raided several companies believed to have been producing counterfeit goods for the past 10 years.

Some of the bogus goods include body lotions, sweets, and brand name productsVaseline and Johnson & Johnson baby powder. These imitations have been successful in the Zambian market.

Leader of the anti-piracy wing of Zambia Police, Dr Solomon Jere, displayed some of the counterfeit products on television last week. But Jere said it was possible that some of the products were imports from the SADC region.
