FRANCISTOWN: Police in Tshesebe have recovered 1,450 litres of petrol from a smuggler along the Botswana-Zimbabwe borderline. Villages located along the Botswana-Zimbabwe borderline in the North East District have in the past years seen increased cross-border smuggling of petrol into Zimbabwe.

Tshesebe Police Station commander, Amos Kekgathetse told The Monitor that they have arrested a 39-year-old man who was caught red-handed trying to smuggle petrol into Zimbabwe.

The Motswana man was caught at Moroka village a few kilometres from the Botswana-Zimbabwe borderline.
