Pedestrian dies in road mishap

A man, who is yet to be identified, died instantly after he was hit by a car while attempting to cross the road by Gakutlo turnoff along the Kopong road on Saturday night.

Mogoditshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Boemo Bok, said the accident occurred at around 11pm. The deceased was certified dead by doctors on arrival at Nkoyaphiri clinic on the night. "The deceased was hit by a Madza Demio driven by a 34-year-old man. That area is dark at night, we suspect that the deceased might have miscalculated the distance of the car. "Investigations into the matter are ongoing to identify the deceased, locate, and notify his family members about the accident," Bok said.
