Peace dawns upon Lesenepole

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Despite the legal delay in the settlement of the Lesenepole-Matolwane name, residents have now come closer together for the development of the village.

Headman Gabolekane Mokgobelelo has confirmed that the tensions and sour relations that used to exist between the two parties have calmed. 'It is quiet now, and nobody has come to me with any case related to the name dispute. Developments in the village are in progress and the two parties are contributing and working cordially".

Mokgobelelo said the High Court has been quiet too. It was supposed to deliver judgement on the case that has been on since 1997.
