Pathologist finds brain damage in murder case

FRANCISTOWN: A forensic pathologist told the court that he found the brain of a deceased person swollen and could see a red clot of 500g on its right side.

Dr Varaprasad Patnaik was giving expert evidence in the murder case in which Madiakano Sedimo is charged with the murder of Podile Joseph at Bobonong on September 30, 2004.

Dr Patnaik said he conducted the postmortem on the deceased on October 6, 2004 and believed that the cause of death was shock and haemorrhage consequent to head injuries.
