The latest Auditor General's reports finds that a contract for the manufacture and supply of milk (1,076,520 cartons), with scheduled deliveries monthly to seven depots failed to perform but nevertheless continued to be rewarded with more lucrative tenders.
The audit finds that the initial tender covered the period from April 2010 to March 2011. However, when the supplier failed to meet the full compliment of scheduled deliveries resulting in depots being short-supplied for the period of April to December 2010 and other months, the contractor was given an extention to August 2011.
