FRANCISTOWN: When entering the city of Francistown along either the A1 road or on the side of the Gaborone-Maun road, one is greeted by orange figurines posing in various contorted positions.

Pedestrians and motorists alike have been left gaping at the spectacle since the beginning of last week. Last Wednesday morning when I was on my way to the Francistown High Court, my attention was grabbed by a crowd of people looking at the figurines posing in various stances along the A1 road next to Thapama Hotel. The figurines, or these humans, attract on-lookers who cannot help but stand and stare. A wave of the hand is the only response I got from these figures, as they changed poses.
