As the Bagammangwato royal conflicts continue, uncles of former president Ian Khama have accused acting regent Serogola Seretse of insulting and disparaging them and the chieftainship lineage during a recent Kgotla meeting in Serowe. In a recent statement, uncles Rasebolai Kgamane, Mokhutshwane Sekgoma and Seretse Kebaile alleged that Serogola not only disrespected and offended them during the Kgotla meeting but also mistreated Khama multiple times.

"Modisa ga a kake a talela mong wa leruo (a shepherd can never belittle the owner of the flock)," they stated.

The uncles emphasised the importance of putting Serogola in line. "Bogosi jwa Gammangwato ga bo lekwe gase bojalwa jwa Setswana, ga bo itekanngwe ga se borokgwe (Gammangwato chieftainship is not to be trifled with)," they stated. The royal uncles warned Serogola against attacking them at the main Kgotla, urging him to stop ill-treating them.
