The boyfriend of local jazz artist, Nono Siile, was yesterday remanded in prison until the case in which he faces a single count of unlawful possession of arms of war goes for trail.

Mokane Bobo Zebe Molebatsi, who has been on the run since July 4th last year, appeared after he was arrested by Gaborone West Police on allegations of arson. He is accused of having burned Nono's house on April 1st in Kgale View after an argument that is said to have resulted from a phone call she received that same night.Molebatsi was then dragged before Magistrate Cele Motlaleng for mention in the case that he has been wanted for since September last year.

The prosecutor of the case Kebabone Mosime told the court that even though the trail date was set for April 5th and 8th, they are unable to continue because they had not arranged with the witness to appear before court.
"Upon being granted bail, some of the conditions were that the accused person appear for all mention dates and he does not commit another criminal offence, but he did not honour these bail conditions and as such we apply for his remand warrant," said Mosime.
