It transpired during a media briefing held yesterday at the University of Botswana (UB) that students' struggle for better educational amenities will take another twist as time goes by.

The well attended briefing brought together Student Representative Council (SRC) representatives from Mancosa, Limkokwing, NIIT, GIPS, Tlokweng College of Education, Boitekanelo College  and University of Botswana. The UB SRC president Kago Mokotedi expressed disappointment with the manner in which student affairs are being handled. "What is happening in Limkokwing is total madness," he fumed. Mokotedi said that on Wednesday the Limkokwing SRC summoned them for a meeting.

He was accompanied by his vice president Tiro Diepo and secretary general Malumbela and met with the group from Limkokwing, who unburdened their grievances to them. The UB group  pledged their full support and resolved to assist them in dealing with their problems. Mokotedi said the reasons given for the Limkokwing SRC trio's suspension were not convincing hence their call for a reinstatement. Mokotedi further said some students have queried why the UB SRC is meddling itself in Limkokwing affairs.
