GUMARE: Indications are that Education Minister and Ngami Member of Parliament (MP) Jacob Nkate will have to double up or risk finding himself without a constituency after the 2009 general election. Nkate is reported to be among Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) top brass in the race for the post of vice president when Ian Khama takes over from President Festus Mogae when he retires early next year.

BAM councillor for Tubu village Mpoke Karapo told Monitor that "chances are very high that Nkate might not go to Parliament after 2009 because we are busy campaigning in the constituency.
