Nine men and 40 bulls

For the first time in modern Botswana, a group of nine Batswana farmers from different parts of the country have come together to auction 40 prize bulls that they have been breeding.

Dubbed "The Top Three Bull Sale," the impressive beasts are on display at the Gaborone Showgrounds. The bulls are of the three most popular breeds that are adaptable to Botswana conditions renowned for their beef.  The beasts have been on display since August 9 for the big auction day that will fall on August 27, when the Grey Brahman, Simmental and the Charolais will go under the hammer.

The men behind the beasts are Thapelo Setlalekgosi, Thebe Setlalekgosi, Billy Gobuamang, Billy Baaitse, Leonard Morakaladi, Boingotlo Toteng, Phenyo Nthase, Kaswika Mannatho and Monty Chiepe.
