FRANCISTOWN: Zimbabweans who cross the border on a daily basis to purchase goods in Botswana for sale back home have criticised the service at Ramokgwebana border post.

Travellers said since the beginning of this week the service at Ramokgwebana border has declined significantly after the introduction of computers to scan passports. Travellers, who Mmegi interviewed expressed fury, disapproving the new system and said that government could have trained its workers before they commenced with the new system.

The irate travellers said that it appears as if the immigration officers at the border do not know how to use the computers because at first it was prefect. Susan Sibanda (47), a businesswoman in Zimbabwe said that at first their passports used to be stamped but since the introduction of a new system of scanning them, she has experienced delay in the processing of her documents.
