Negotiate salaries, not workshops – BOFEPUSU tells DPSM

The Botswana Federation of Public, Private and Parastatal Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) says it feels undermined by the Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM) for continuing to hold workshops whilst key concerns affecting government employees remain unresolved.

The trade unions have been entangled in employment discourse for years now, and the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) administration has not been spared from those issues.

Of late, the unions have shown disgruntlement with the UDC over their manifesto promises on salary increases, as they contest that the ruling party is yet to deliver on its promises.
