Nasha laments poor coverage of Parliament

The Speaker, Margaret Nasha has lamented the poor coverage of Parliament by the media.

Speaking at the ongoing training workshop for parliamentary reporters, Nasha said that since she became Speaker in 2009, she has noticed that news reports on Parliament are not up to scratch. She said that it is important for journalists who report on parliamentary issues to understand National Assembly procedures and processes. She said that reporters assigned to cover Parliament are changed frequently.

"There is no continuity. One reporter will come today then tomorrow a different one will come to cover Parliament.
