Murder accused says police beat confession out of him

FRANCISTOWN: The court has postponed judgment on the trial within a trial in which Justice Gaolapelwe Ketlogetswe is supposed to determine whether Youngman Dube was induced into making a confession statement that he killed his wife.

The trial within a trial, which has been dragging on for a while, will be concluded in January when Ketlogetswe determines whether Dube was forced to confess.

Dube, 49 is facing a count of murder for allegedly killing his wife and staging the death as a car accident along Matshelagabedi-Francistown road.
