Palapye: The Botswana National Front (BNF) held an ill attended'star' rally last Sunday to market its parliamentary candidate for Palapyeconstituency,Sentsho Malatsi. The rally paraded the likes of Otsweletse Moupo, Mohammad Khan,Billy Makuku and Tshireletso Koee.

Even the motorcade before the rally did not seem to have any impact. However, the speeches were electrifying.Taking a brief detour from the task at hand, the guest speaker, Moupo jabbed the media for what he called biased reporting against his party. He grilled the mediafor vilifying the BNF and its leadership.

The BNF chief accused the press of poking their noses in the internal affairs of the BNF. Subsequent to Moupo's humiliating defeat at the hands of Maemo Bantsi in the BNF primary elections, some sections of the media urged Moupo to step down as the leader of the BNF."I do not know whether it is out of ignorance or malice for Mmegi and the Guardian to suggest that I resign my post as president of the BNF," he complained. He went on to say the Gaborone West North primary elections had nothing to do with the BNF presidency.
