FRANCISTOWN: Francistown West Member of Parliament (MP) Ignatius Moswaane has reportedly puffed the peace pipe with the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

The development comes after the legislator reportedly held a closed door meeting with President Mokgweetsi Masisi on Wednesday morning in Gaborone. Masisi is the president of the BDP. The meeting reportedly took place before Masisi departed for an official trip to South Africa.

Details of what really transpired at the meeting are sketchy but indications are that Masisi assured Moswaane that he would not be severely disciplined by the party as widely speculated. Masisi is also said to have reiterated that Moswaane will not be replaced as candidate for Francistown West at the 2019 general elections.
