Moruti jabs government policies

Member of Parliament for Okavango, Vista Moruti yesterday condemned government policies, saying they disadvantage Batswana, especially in his constituency.

Moruti was commenting on the Community Based Natural Resources Management (CBNRM) Policy that seeks to empower communities living in areas where there are unique natural resources.

The policy will also give communities incentives to engage in conservation activities leading to sustainable development and poverty reduction.

Moruti condemned the government for neglecting his people saying they can't practice arable farming because elephants destroy their crops.
