Moruakgomo hails BCP cllrs

Kgatleng District Council, Mpho Moruakgomo of the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) paid tribute to the councillors for working for the common good at the council. He said that contrary to expectations, the councillors appreciate and support council programmes and policies introduced by the BDP. "These guys don't debate issues based on parties. They are mature and creative when it comes to the development of this district."
He said the councillors are in the opposition but they do not block BDP programmes and policies just for the sake of it. He said BCP councillors bring life to the council by making meaningful contributions. He gave credit to his deputy and long time councillor Steven Makhura saying that the man is doing a very good job. "I am working with him without any problems though we are from different political families." He said some of the Botswana National Front (BNF) councillors are not doing badly either. "They are making good contributions here and there." At one stage, Moruakgomo jokingly told the councillor for Mosanta South, Tona Mooketsi that he does not belong to BNF because of his good contributions to debates.
