Morope Village Neglected

Morope residents expressed their frustrations recently during a Kgotla meeting following a land dispute, which they stressed that the government failed to address.

Residents of Marope spoke in one voice as they accused the Ministry of Lands and Housing of failing to address the issue, which was passed on to them after Mogoditshane/Thamaga sub district, could not do much to help them.

The community explained that seeing their predicament, they were forced to appoint a task committee to act on their behalf in seeking answers from the Ministry of Lands and Housing, Office of President, Council and Kweneng Sub Land Board. With their efforts reaching a brick wall, they then consulted the Paramount Chief of Bakwena, Kgosi Kgari Sechele.
